Worth the price

It is a fun turn based rpg. There Are very few around in the iPhone and while this isnt the greatest game it is really fun. It is east thou because your regen alot of hp/mp while walking but it is still a great game.

Great

Love this game. Nice music loops. A little buggy with side quests, but so are most games. I want addons!

Great game

This game is very addicting so b carful if u buy it. The only real problems with it are that the side quests r a bit buggy, the game drains ur iPhones battery like theres no 2marrow, and that it get very boring once u beat the main story and all the side quests. Other than that its a great game and if u like RPGs u should buy it.

Classic RPG Awesomeness

I bought the 3.0 update just to play this game. Good ol JRPGs are just too few and far between on the iPhone. Its a decent game, but not perfect. I really like the controls for the most part and the graphics are very nice too. However, the sprite animation is pretty terrible and so is the music. I also dont really like how the players health just recharges after a battle. Wheres the challenge in that? I wish there was an option to turn that off, but maybe the recharge will slow down when I get to a higher level. The story is pretty standard JRPG stuff so far, but I can live with that. Its definitely worth the price and I would reccomend to any RPG fan, but dont expect a perfect game. EDIT: I lowered my rating. After more time with the game, much of its luster has worn off and I can see it for the forgettable RPG that it is... Im still holding out for a more Retro RPGs on the iPhone.

Almost great

Lack of autosave and TERRIBLE controls (takes many attempts to tap on an npc) really hurt the game. That and the grind. The whole game is grind for 30 mins, boss, repeat. It has potential but needs a lot more work.

Lots of flaws but still fun

There isnt many rpg on the app store so this game gets a 4 star for effort! Story is very weak there nothing motivating to get to the next town of dungeon. Plus yes the control is horrible, I would tap to npc more then a few times, and bam i miss a few line text.

Cool Game

This is my first RPG for my i-phone and not bad. They did a really good job with the graphics and gameplay. It was easy to download because it wasnt 10 g.

Great classic RPG

I am really enjoying this game. Its much like old school RPGs. Its not as epic as Dragon Warrior or FF, but still fun.

How do you beat the last boss?

How do you beat him? Though his energy is like gone, but I kept hitting him and h doesnt seem to die.

Finaly

About freaking time they let you play your own music! It gets really annoying having to listen to the 15 second battle theme over and over and over and over, good update. 5s

Nice update

I am glad to see they fixed most of the complaints from the player. I actually put the game on hold for a while and I am just playing it again. Nice work.

Good but had issues.

I really like it. Think it is my favorite so far. BUT. Its hard to talk to the people. When u try to run into them it takes a few times and sometimes I miss the first part of what they were saying. Quests are making me mad. I now have three half completed quests because for some reason game will not credit the ones I killed. If u r in middle of quest and quit game after restart u cannot finish. real close to having an excellent game. Just need to tweek a few issues.

AWESOME EPIC RPG

Looking forward to new updates with monsters and items!!!

Love the game

The art, the controls, the ability to listen to your own music, the auto save the turn bases aspect. I ant praise it enough. In fact writting this review us taking me away from the game. Instant buy grab it!!!

Almost, almost...

I really enjoy playing this game, but I was truly disappointed that the unfinishable side-quest bug is still alive and well. Ive restarted the game 4 times, but cant manage to avoid getting the side-quest -Defeat "x" Tribasilisks- in Rhomgard. Ive since read that saving and then exiting before finishing the quest makes the area to find them disappear from the map. This makes the side-quest unfinishable. Ive only had it happen with the Tribasilisk quest from Rhomgard, but it stalls the game for me. I like to finish everything and hate to restart for something like this. Please fix this bug! That said, if you like TBRPGs like the old Square Enix FF series or Breath of Fire from the old consoles, then this game will bring that fun back. Totally, worth the bucks. Thanks guys!

The best RPG!

This game is amazing. I honestly cant remember the last time an ipod game has eaten up so much of my time! I play this allll the time, its the perfect bus ride game because unlike apparently every other game I have, it wont give you a headache, and most importantly because its AMAZING!

Nice game, but a bit of an energy hog

I enjoy this game quite a bit but its an energy hog. Dont plan on playing this for long on battery power.

Its a nice game

I kinda like it but it needs a joystick or D-Pad controls and also it needs a landscape mode because playing the way it is aint that fun.

Good, but disappointing

I enjoyed the gameplay, although I found it strange that the image was portrait instead of landscape. I was disappointed at how the game ended. It wasnt as exapansive or rewarding as say, Zenonia, for example. It just sort of ended, and Lord Mallic wasnt even a challenge. He didnt call on half the skills you learned throughout the game, and then it was over, except there was the promise of more monsters and treasures, which is not true. If there was an update that addressed these features and allowed the game to grow and expand a good amount, I could easily give this four stars, if not five.

Could have been more

Elven Chronicles looks really great and the controls are pretty good. The managing items does require digging into the menus a bit too deep, but is okay. Like someone else stated, this game does chew up battery. The big problems with this app are weak story line & unbalanced game play. The story progress with simple short dialog bubbles. No animations or cut scenes here. So you end up just fighting monsters. That is boring. And since you end up just fighting monsters, there should be game balance so this doesnt get boring. My characters got way too strong versus the monsters I was fighting. I was not wandering around to level up, just going through the story line. The weaknesses of each monster is quite easy to guess at (hmmm, bright orange/yellow monster, I guess Ill use ice). So you have a game with a weak story line that relies on boring fighting... ugh! This could have been more! Its like some software engineer used a game design book and implemented the example. Where was the game producer, game designer or level designer! This game lacks soul.
